Myself Meghna, a 5 feet 2 inch wonder trying to make a friends with flour, sugar, eggs and butter. In my past life I was a software engineer.
I fiddled with bits and bytes until I found my prince charming, Mr.D who swept me off my feet and made me land up in Philadelphia. Cooking especially Baking was purely accidental for me. For 25 years I never cooked anything special except for an occasional tea (yeah..I'm a chronic tea drinker). It all started when I baked my first successful cake (I threw away 2 cakes before that because it was too bad) for my D on his birthday. It came out too good to believe and was a favorite among all. And then there's no looking back. I discovered that baking makes me happy and accomplished. I started blogging as a way to catalog my experiments in baking. After blogging for some time, I felt I need some kind of inspiration/challenge to push myself harder in this arena. That's why I joined DB which is a perfect platform. Apart from doing baking, I love to read, hang out with friends and love to sit with my D and do nothing.
How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?
This is my first DB challenge I'm participating. From the short time i'm here,I 'm loving all of it

Is there any recipe and/or technique that we haven’t covered yet that you’d really like to make/learn?
I would really love to learn how to make meringues.
Do you have a favorite movie? Actor? Actress? Genre of music?
I have a lot of favorites. But one movie that touched my heart and stays still with me is Forrest Gump.
While Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington are among my favorite actors, Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep tops my favorite actress list.
Being an Indian, I have grown up listening to movie songs (since songs are an essential part of Indian movies). So that is my favorite genre. Apart from that, I like listening to Pop and recently started liking R&B and Hip-Hop
You’ve had a rough week. We feel your pain. How do you relax after a rough week?
